What the score checks

Six checks that decide listing quality.

The score is the sum of six independent checks: title length, whether your focus keyword appears and is front-loaded, your bullet count, description depth, natural keyword usage in the description, and hygiene — no ALL-CAPS shouting and no policy-risky superlatives.

Each check returns pass, warn, or fail with a specific message, so you don’t just get a number — you get a prioritised to-do list. Fix the fails first, then the warnings, and watch the score climb.

It’s a quality checklist, not a ranking promise. Better copy lifts clicks and conversions, but marketplace ranking also turns on price, ratings, sales velocity, and — especially on Meesho — your primary image.

FAQ

Listing-quality questions sellers ask.

What makes a good Meesho or Amazon product title?
A strong marketplace title is descriptive but not overlong — roughly 40 to 120 characters — and front-loads the most important attributes: product type, key material or feature, and target use. It includes your focus keyword near the start, avoids ALL-CAPS, and skips policy-risky superlatives like 'best' or '100% original'. The scorer checks all of these and tells you which to fix.
How does the listing quality scorer work?
It runs a set of deterministic checks on your title, bullets, and description — title length, whether your focus keyword appears (and is front-loaded), bullet count, description depth, keyword usage without stuffing, and hygiene issues like shouting or banned claims. Each check contributes points to a 0–100 score with a letter grade, and every check comes with a specific message on what to improve.
What is the ideal title length for marketplace listings?
Around 40–120 characters works well across Meesho, Amazon India, and Flipkart. Shorter than ~25 characters usually means you've left out attributes buyers search for; longer than ~120 risks truncation in search results and on mobile. The scorer flags both extremes.
How many bullet points should a product listing have?
Four to six focused bullets is the sweet spot — enough to cover material, fit or size, care, and primary use without overwhelming the buyer. Fewer than three looks thin; more than eight dilutes the strongest points. Enter one bullet per line and the scorer grades the count.
Does keyword density matter, and can I overdo it?
Yes to both. Your focus keyword should appear naturally in the title and at least once in the description, but repeating it many times reads as stuffing and can hurt rather than help. The scorer rewards natural usage and warns when density crosses a stuffing threshold.
Is this listing checker free and private?
Completely free, no signup, and fully private — your listing text is scored entirely in your browser and never uploaded or stored anywhere. Paste freely; nothing leaves your device.
Why does it flag words like 'best' or '100% original'?
Many marketplaces restrict unverifiable superlatives and absolute claims ('best', 'cheapest', 'guaranteed', '100% original', 'No.1') because they can mislead buyers and breach listing policies. Flagging them early helps you avoid takedowns and write claims you can actually stand behind.
Does a higher score guarantee better rankings?
No — and it deliberately doesn't promise that. The score measures listing hygiene and writing quality, which correlate with better clicks and conversions, but marketplace ranking also depends on price, sales velocity, ratings, and images. Treat the score as a quality checklist, not a ranking guarantee.
Can I use it for Flipkart and Shopify listings too?
Yes. The checks — title length, keyword placement, bullet count, description depth, and hygiene — are general listing best-practices that apply across Meesho, Amazon India, Flipkart, and Shopify. The thresholds are tuned to what works on Indian marketplaces.
My listing reads well but the photo is the problem — what then?
Copy is only half the listing. On Meesho especially, the primary photo drives both conversion and shipping cost, because shipping is billed from the volumetric weight inferred from the image. After tightening your copy here, run the photo through Low-Shipping AI to find the lowest-shipping-bracket image.
