How it works

Settlement price formula, with returns counted properly.

Minimum settlement = (product cost + packaging + return loss + profit) ÷ (1 − commission − ads), plus GST.

Return loss is the part most sellers skip. Each returned order costs you its return shipping and packaging — and the product too when it comes back damaged. Those losses are paid for by your delivered orders, so the calculator spreads them as return% ÷ (100 − return%) per delivered order.

The settlement price is what you need to receive, not the customer price. To turn it into a listing price, add the shipping the marketplace deducts. Step-by-step guide in Hinglish: Meesho settlement price kitna rakhe.

FAQ

Settlement price questions sellers ask.

What is a settlement price?
The settlement price is what you receive for one delivered order after the marketplace has taken its shipping and fees — the money that actually reaches your bank, including the GST you still owe. It is not the price the customer sees, and it is not your profit: product cost, packaging and the loss from returns still come out of it.
How much settlement price should I keep on Meesho to stay in profit?
At least product cost + packaging + your return loss per delivered order + ad spend + the profit you want, plus GST if you are registered. The calculator adds these up for you. Example: a ₹180 product, ₹10 packaging, 20% returns at ₹80 return shipping and ₹50 target profit needs about ₹263 per delivered order before GST.
Why does the calculator spread returns over delivered orders?
A returned order pays you nothing, but you still pay its return shipping and lose its packaging. Those losses have to be paid for by the orders that do get delivered. With a 20% return rate, 20 returns are paid for by 80 deliveries, so each delivered order carries 20 ÷ 80 = 0.25 of a return's loss — not 20 ÷ 100.
What is the difference between good and damaged returns?
A good return comes back sellable, so you only lose the return shipping and packaging — the product goes back into stock. A damaged return comes back unsellable, so you also lose the product cost. Enter the share of returns that come back damaged and the calculator adds that loss on top.
What do the four modes do?
Settlement price mode tells you the minimum to receive for a target profit in rupees. Margin % and ROI % modes do the same for a target margin (profit ÷ price excluding GST) or return on cost (profit ÷ product + packaging + return loss). Profit mode works the other way: enter a settlement price you already get and see the profit, margin and ROI it gives.
Does GST reduce my profit in this calculator?
No. Costs are entered excluding GST and GST is added on top of the price, so it passes through. The GST summary estimates the output GST, an input credit on product and packaging at the same slab, and the net GST payable. Purchases can carry a different slab, so confirm your actual liability with your CA.
Can I compare two products?
Yes. Turn on Compare products and you get two sets of inputs side by side. The calculator shows which product makes more profit per order, by how much, and a side-by-side table of settlement price, margin, ROI, total cost, net GST and break-even.
Is my data saved or uploaded?
Nothing is uploaded. Your numbers are kept only in your own browser so they are still there next time. When you share a calculation, the numbers are packed into the link itself — whoever opens it sees the same inputs.
